Here are some answers to questions which we often receive from those choosing to purchase our dogs.
Shipping Puppies shipped by airfreight will fly from the South Bend Regional Airport in South Bend, Indiana. Shipping costs vary and will be assumed by the buyer. Puppies shipped by airfreight will be checked by a licensed veterinarian prior to shipping. All airlines require an official health certificate to ship live animals out of state or out of country. Vaccinations We vaccinate beginning at 6 weeks for distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza and parvovirus. We routinely worm with Pyrantel Pamoate. The Vaccination Schedule which accompanies the Sales Agreement outlines the vaccinations and worm treatments your puppy has been given up to the time of sale and recommends appropriate booster shots Ear cropping We do not recommend ear cropping for companion dogs. Cropping is done for cosmetic purposes only and is a painful, stressful procedure for pups. If you choose to have your puppy’s ears cropped, we can arrange to have it done or you can have it done at your local veterinarian. The cost is assumed by the buyer. Cost/Investment Puppies begin at $1,000 and range up to $1,500. We primarily sell our puppies as family pets or companions, though many are show quality. We simply choose to not show our dogs. What’s the difference between a show dog and a companion dog? They both come from the same litters. A winning show dog must have the ideal combination of structure, coat, attitude, and adaptability. As with humans, not all dogs are perfect specimens and not all are suited to the show life. Minor cosmetic flaws may prevent certain puppies from showing, but in no way prevents them from being wonderful companion dogs. Whether our puppies are destined for the show ring or for years of companionship in a loving home, they are as genetically sound and healthy as we can guarantee.
